SUNSHINE COAST, QUEENSLAND — 8 July 2026 — Sigma Aerospace Group has completed an expansion of its Suncoast propeller workshop, adding floor space and propeller capacity to support piston and turbine operators across Australia.

The investment provides more room for inspection, hub teardown, blade work and propeller assembly, with better capacity to schedule planned overhauls and respond to urgent requirements. It builds on almost a decade of propeller overhaul work at Suncoast Aero Engines.

“Aircraft don’t earn their keep sitting in a queue. We’ve added workshop space and propeller capacity so we can plan jobs better, respond to urgent requirements and keep operators informed from quote to dispatch.”

Bailey Banks · Sales & Business Development Manager, Sigma Aerospace

More capacity for piston and turbine propellers

The expanded shop supports work on propellers for piston aircraft and PT6- and TPE331-powered turbine aircraft. Its service range includes Hartzell, McCauley and Sensenich propeller repair and overhaul, with each job checked against the applicable model and approved scope.

Additional workshop capacity gives the team more room to carry out inspection, balancing, hub and blade processes. The emphasis is on dependable turnaround: identify the work early, establish the parts and repair requirements, and give the operator a clear plan.

OEM backing and equipment that keeps work moving

The facility’s investment includes manufacturer-approved tooling and equipment, including a Hartzell-supplied cold-rolling machine and Clemco shot-peen equipment. These support the prescribed propeller processes and help keep specialised work in house.

Working with the manufacturers and their recommended suppliers gives the shop access to the tools and technical requirements for the propellers it services. Keeping more of the process within the facility also reduces the handovers that can delay a job.

The workshop sits alongside engine overhaul, machining and component repair capability, with parts and consumables through Sigma Aerospace Parts. An operator can discuss related requirements with one group and receive a scope matched to the actual work needed.

Support from anywhere in Australia

Operators do not need to be based on the Sunshine Coast to use the shop. Sigma can coordinate with an operator or maintenance organisation on records, freight, inspection findings and return delivery, whether the aircraft works in a capital city, a regional hub or a remote location.

A single point of contact keeps the conversation connected from quotation through to dispatch. The team will confirm what needs to travel with the unit and the handling and shipping arrangements before it is sent.
