PISTON ENGINE SOLUTIONS

Sigma Aerospace has offered total engine maintenance and support for more than 40 years. From individual component overhaul through to complete fleet engine management. Our managed services include acquisition of customer core engines, stocking complete spare engines ready to be deployed, as well as exchange engine and component programs either individually or Power By The Hour (PBTH) Programs.

Sigma overhauls all Continental and Lycoming engines ranging from O-200 through to IO-720 engines. We have significant component overhaul capability including fuel components, starters, magneto’s, alternators and turbo chargers and controllers, and offers machining services including Cylinder Overhauls, Conrod and Crankcase Machining.

Composites

Sigma Aerospace has a dedicated composites and structures repair facility located on the Gold Coast specialising in the repair of a wide variety of fixed wing and rotary wing components in both Commercial and Defence sectors.

With CASA, EASA and DASA approvals Sigma has expertise repair for all composite and sheet metal aircraft structure and components including carbon fibre, Kevlar, fibreglass, honeycomb sandwich panels and aluminium sheetmetal repairs. We have a fully equipped facility incorporating state of the art technology including environmentally controlled preparation rooms, standalone paint facility, and fixed and mobile hot bond repair equipment.

We also have mobile repair capability and can manage complex structural repairs on wing for those parts of your aircraft that cannot be shipped.

INSTRUMENTS

Sigma is unique in that it is the only company in Australia that calibrates both instruments and tooling and equipment, our clients include some of Australia’s largest airlines and specialise in the servicing, certification, and calibration of test and measurement instruments, and most avionics equipment, tooling, and instrumentation.

Sigma Instruments offer sales and service for a large range of aircraft and electrical components including Aircraft and engine instrument repair and overhauls, Gyroscopic, altimeter, turn co-ordinator, airspeed indicators, Pressure, temperature, torque, and flow indicator sales, repair, and overhauls, Electrical instrument and radio installations, inspection, and repair, and Avionics upgrade design and installation.

Sigma Instruments also conducts a wide variety of tooling and equipment calibration, and services a large range of aircraft and electrical components including Torque Wrenches, Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity Gauges and Regulators, Multimeters, Ohmmeters, Crimpers, Cable Tensiometers, and Precision measuring devices such as Micrometres and Vernier callipers.
